Comprehensive Plan Update
The Town of Ashland, Virginia
Submittal Deadline: April 25, 2008

The Town of Ashland, Virginia will receive proposals to provide all
labor, equipment, supplies and materials required to accomplish tasks
for the Town of Ashland's 2008 Comprehensive Plan Update until 10:00
a.m., Friday, April 25, 2008.

The Town of Ashland Department of Planning & Community Development is
seeking professional planning services by a consultant or consultant
team to assist in rewriting and reformatting the Comprehensive Plan of
the Town of Ashland. The Consultant will assist the Town by gathering
and analyzing data, drafting policies, facilitating neighborhood
meetings, and allocating proposed land uses. Strong emphasis will be
placed on transportation analysis and community character and design.
The final plan document will be prepared by the Town, however, graphic
and mapping assistance will be provided by the Consultant. This project
is estimated to take approximately 8-10 months upon initiation.

Proposal packets may be obtained at the office of the Purchasing Agent
located in the Town Municipal Building at 101 Thompson Street, Ashland,
VA 23005, or by calling 804-798-9219, or on the Town's website at
www.town.ashland.va.us <http://www.town.ashland.va.us/> . If downloaded
from the website please contact the Purchasing office to be added to the
plan holder's list.

The Town reserves the right to reject any and all proposals. Small and
minority owned businesses are encouraged to submit.
