Park and Ride Facility Location Study & Transit Oriented Development
Plan
The Village of Montgomery, Illinois
Submittal Deadline: April 11, 2008

The Village of Montgomery requests consulting services concerning the
preparation of a Park & Ride Facility Location Study and Transit
Oriented Development Plan. The project would provide for the planning of
a transit facility site that would initially serve as a Park and Ride
commuter lot with bus service to the Metra Station at the Aurora Transit
Center on the BNSF Line. Ultimately, the parking facility would serve
the future potential Montgomery Metra Station upon the possible
extension of Metra service to Montgomery. The project would research,
develop, evaluate and provide recommendations for the ideal site, size,
access and usability of such a facility. The planning document will also
include a Transit Oriented Development Plan that will address land use
and transportation issues in the area generally around the study area or
site.

This project will be completed under the general direction and
coordination of a steering committee made up of Village staff, RTA,
Metra, and Pace staff. A pre-proposal conference will be held at the
Montgomery Village Hall, 1300 South Broadway, Montgomery, IL 60538 on
April 1, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. Responses to this request are due by noon on
Friday, April 11, 2008. Proposals must be in the format set forth in the
RFP document issued by the Village and must be submitted to Ms. Jane
Tompkins, Community Development Director at:
