OEA Funded Defense Diversification Project
Great Falls, Montana, Development Authority
Submittal Deadline: May 27, 2008
The Great Falls Development Authority seeks a multi-disciplinary
consultant team to conduct an Office of Economic Adjustment funded
Defense Diversification Project for the five county Sweetgrass Regional
Development Area in Montana. This project will result in an economic
diversification strategy and implementation plan to assist the region in
reducing its dependency upon military spending. This project is the
result of the military decision to deactivate the 564th Missile Squadron
from Malmstrom AFB. Malmstrom is located outside of Great Falls,
Montana. 
The project will involve a literary review as well as completion of a
six task project. The six tasks include competitive analysis, business
inventory, data collection, and community meetings. The entire RFQ/RFP
as well as the requirements for the responses can be obtained from:
