General Plan Update
City of El Mirage, Arizona
Submittal Deadline: May 30, 2008
The City of El Mirage, Arizona is requesting Statements of
Qualifications from experienced consulting firms for the development of
a General Plan Update.
The Plan of El Mirage shall be the working document that implements the
City's Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances, the Capital Improvements
Program, and the Economic Development of the City. The General Plan
shall be used to evaluate and provide policy recommendations regarding
overall municipal development patterns and long-term land use trends.
The firm selected will be expected to work with the Community
Development and Economic Development Departments, City Attorney, City
Engineer, a Council-appointed committee and various citizen groups. The
El Mirage City Council places an emphasis on citizen-based planning and
the submittal selected will reflect this emphasis.
