MSB Title 17 Flexible Zoning Update
The Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Alaska
Submittal Deadline: June 18, 2008
Proposal #08-152
The Matanuska-Susitna Borough (MSB) is requesting proposals from
interested firms to aide in updating MSB Title 17 to incorporate
flexible zoning. The Borough's population has increased from 39,683 in
1990 to just over 80,000. Due to our high rate of growth, the community
has been experiencing greater impacts to traffic and transportation, the
environment, public open spaces, and public facilities. The MSB has
created a conceptual flex zoning model and is seeking assistance with
finalizing the model, preparing applicable ordinances, and incorporating
the flexible zoning into existing MSB code.
Proposal documents are available beginning May 21, 2008 in the
Purchasing Division, Matanuska-Susitna Borough, 350 E. Dahlia Ave.,
Palmer, AK 99645. Info: 907-745-9601, Fax 907-745-9617, e-mail
purchasing at matsugov.us <mailto:purchasing at msb.co.mat-su.ak.us> . A
document fee of $5.00 will be charged for materials picked-up and $10.00
for materials mailed. The proposal document may be available on the
internet at www.matsugov.us <http://www.co.mat-su.ak.us/> .
Proposals due: June 18, 2008 @ 4PM, in the Purchasing Division of
Finance.
Proposal must be received in the Purchasing Division prior to the time
fixed for closing of the proposal to be considered. Time of receipt will
be determined by the time stamp in the Purchasing Division.

borough ADA coordinator at 907-746-7404.
The Matanuska-Susitna Borough reserves the right to accept or reject any
or all proposals, waive any and all technicalities or informalities it
